Willi Herren was born in Cologne under his real name Wilhelm Herren on June 17th, 1975. Herren grew up in poor conditions and was interested in acting from an early age. At the age of 17 he got his first role in the ARD series “Lindenstrasse”.

Willi Herren got out of the successful series “Lindenstrasse” after 170 episodes. Throughout the 1990s, he starred in other films and television series, including “Lola and Bilidikid”, “Alarm for Cobra 11” and “Tatort”. With each additional role, the fame of the former actor increased.

Herren took part in the second season of the jungle camp on RTL, where he was able to achieve third place. Willi Herren was sentenced to six months’ suspended probation by the Cologne District Court on May 15, 2008, because he was caught driving several times without a driver’s license. A further suspended sentence and a blocking of the driver’s license came when the Cologne District Court shortly afterwards accused gentlemen of drunk driving and coercion. In 2010, Herren refused to pay for a taxi ride, which is why he was eventually arrested.
