In 1942, the Kazakh Manshuk Mametova voluntarily went to the front. unfortunately, this fight was for Manshuk last – her wound was fatal. In 1944, Manshuk Mametova was awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union posthumously.
the Pilot Lydia Litvyak
Lydia Litvyak since childhood, studied at the flying club and growing up, began to train pilots itself. In 1942, in order to get into the regiment, she was credited in the document the missing hours of flight training. Litvyak immediately showed themselves on the battlefield, shooting down a German bomber. She was transferred to fighter aviation regiment. And one day the pilot shot down a German Baron, who before that had no equal in the air. All in all, Lydia was shot down 11 enemy planes. Several times she was wounded, but always returned to the system.
However, on 1 August 1943, Lydia did not return from battle. Brave pilots wanted immediately put to the award, but her body was not found, and someone started the rumor that Lydia in captivity. The remains of the legendary pilots was only discovered after 28 years. In 1990, Lydia Litvyak was awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union posthumously.
the Sniper Lyudmila Pavlichenko
Lyudmila since the childhood good shot, so when the war broke out, she immediately got in the 25th Chapayev infantry division. Sniper and attendant Tatiana Baramzina
Before the war, Tatiana studied at the pedagogical Institute, and later worked as a kindergarten teacher. Hard to believe that a delicate girl with such a peaceful profession personally killed 36 of the Germans. At first, Tanya served as a sniper and managed to eliminate the 16 enemies. But the girl’s vision began to deteriorate – she had to be retrained for the switchboard operator. Under continuous fire, Tatiana has many times repaired the telephone. Once the mission commander onon went into the enemy rear, which together with his comrades faced the enemy. Baramzina were shot to the last. But she was captured. Tatiana was severely tortured before her death: she gouged out his eyes, cut breast, and then shot from anti-tank guns. She’s been identified only by fragments of clothing and hair. She was only 24 years old. In 1945, Tatiana Baramzinoy was awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union posthumously.
Partisan Lisa Chaikin
