“To the love of my life”

What a touching story from Vanessa Bryant (38): The widow of basketball legend Kobe Bryant (1978-2020), who died in a helicopter crash, opened her husband’s last letter to her on her birthday. On Instagram she posted a picture of the envelope and wrote: “Yesterday I found an envelope with the inscription: ‘To the love of my life'”. But she had to wait another day for her birthday to open it.

It gave her something to look forward to on her special day. Ironically, there was a drawing in it that was carried by an angel. “I miss the love of my life and my sweet little Mamacita,” Vanessa continues. Vanessa was thankful that she woke up “with her three cute girls”. Nevertheless, she wished that “we were all together”.

Basketball icon Bryant died on January 26, 2019 near the U.S. metropolis of Los Angeles when his helicopter crashed at the age of 41. His 13-year-old daughter Gianna survived the accident just as little as six other passengers and the pilot. Thick clouds of fog over the city are believed to be the cause of the crash.
