Groceries, toys, smartphones, hardly a day goes by that manufacturers from different industries do not start product recalls. In the case of food, however, a product recall is particularly delicate because it can lead to health problems in many cases. Now the discounter Rewe is affected!

As the discounter and the French manufacturer Cacao de Bourgogne also report, there is a risk that the nut chocolate from the Rewe own brand Ja! is contaminated with plastic particles. The reason for the precautionary recall is that “there could be black plastic parts of about seven millimeters in length in individual packs of chocolate bar,” as the manufacturer from Dijon in France announced. For this reason, a health risk is not excluded.

The following product is affected by the product recall:

• Name: “Yes! Whole nut / whole milk chocolate ”

• Best before date 04.12.2020

Batch: 2006442827

So if you now find the products at home, you can return them to the Rewe branches for a refund of the purchase price.
