Ukrainian Prime Minister Denis Shmyhal expressed the view that the economy will not withstand a long period of strict quarantine, since most of the population has no financial cushion and, consequently, no way to “just stay home”. Also the TV channel ICTV, the politician said that citizens should earn money to run the country’s economy.
According to Smagala, the government is considering several scenarios for further action, including the “Chinese” version with a simple, but short-term restrictions, as well as the possibility of a gradual easing of the quarantine.
