the world health organization declared the outbreak of a novel coronavirus in China emergency of international significance, RIA Novosti reported.
the prevalence of the disease in China is regarded as very high. The organization recommended to assign a temporary disease the name “acute respiratory illness 2019-nCoV and the virus to give a temporary name “2019-nCoV”.
30 Jan Mikhail Mishustin signed the order about closing of the Russian border in the far East. This is done as one of the measures to combat the spread of the new virus.
Then the Russian foreign Ministry announced the temporary cessation of issuance of electronic visas to Chinese citizens for entry into the country. The company “Aeroflot” has extended the return period and reissuing tickets on flights to/from China without penalty. Passengers can hand over tickets until February 29.
In the Railways said that the movement of passenger trains in China have been suspended with the exception of the route Moscow – Beijing.
Outbreak of pneumonia, a causative agent of which was a new type of coronavirus – 2019-nCoV has been registered in the Chinese city of Wuhan at the end of December. The number of victims of coronavirus in China rose to 170 and the number infected has reached nearly 8 thousand.
To date, infected identified in all regions of China, including the Autonomous zone. The virus has also been identified in Australia, Canada, Vietnam, Germany, Cambodia, Malaysia, Nepal, South Korea, Singapore, USA, Thailand, France, Japan and Sri Lanka. In Russia, infected is currently unknown.
