Star Media, a company that was going to make a film for the 50th anniversary of the group “time Machine”, filed a request to the Ministry of culture of the Russian Federation on the financing, reported TASS the head a press-services of the Department Anna Usacheva.
“Kinokompaniya, OOO Star Media is not filed with the Department an application for a grant, accordingly, did not participate in our traditional pitching. Note that the distribution of grants for manufacture of national films is carried out by the Ministry in accordance with legislation in the framework of the competitive selection of the cinematography applying for appropriate state support,” she said.
the press service also said that in 2019, the Ministry of culture sent to the producer of the film company Star Media Andrei Komarov letter in which it stated its readiness to consider the financing of the film in the case that it will be presented to the next competition in April–may 2019. But according to Usacheva, the company’s application for a grant and not filed.
