Sad news from singer Anne Clark (60): The British musician is recognized by cancer. The 60-year-old announced on Tuesday via Facebook . Your tour planned for autumn 2024 must be canceled.
"It is with great regret that we have to announce the cancellation of Anne Clark's 'Visions' European Tour, which was previously postponed to October and November this year," the post said. The singer was diagnosed with cancer and had to undergo “comprehensive treatment” by the end of the year, which made an autumn tour impossible.
"We are incredibly disappointed that the tour dates have to be canceled, but Anne has to concentrate fully on her recovery at this point," it continues. No further details were given on the type of disease.
Anne Clark became well known in the post-punk and new wave and gothic scene in the 1980s. Her best known hits include the songs "Sleeper in Metropolis" and "Our Darkness". The latter was also used in Germany as the theme tune of the political magazine "ZAK", which was broadcast on WDR from 1988 to 1996.
