large-Scale exhibition of works by Salvador Dali has opened in the capital’s exhibition hall “Manege”. About it reports TASS.
the Solemn opening ceremony was attended by the press Secretary of the President Dmitry Peskov with his wife Tatiana Navka, Director of the foreign intelligence Service Sergei Naryshkin, special representative of Russian President for international cultural cooperation Mikhail Shvydkoi and other leaders in the field of politics and culture.
Naryshkin stressed that the work Given is an attempt to convey the spirit of time and the human desire for constant search. He noted that the artist admired Russian art, adding that he appreciated Russia and many thanks to my wife Elena Dyakova.
“I am pleased that today in the “Manege” opens the biggest in Russia exhibition of works of Salvador Dali, I want to sincerely thank the organizers of this exhibition”, – said Sergey Naryshkin.
the Head of the Moscow Department of culture Alexander Kibovsky also noted the large scale of the exhibition, adding that visitors will be able to see the 188 works, including 80 paintings is painting. According to him, the exhibition includes not only the popular works, but also those that are not familiar to society.
the exhibition includes works from the collections of the Foundation “Gala – Salvador Dali” and the National Museum “Reina Sofia”. Also features works from private European collections.
the exhibition will see works ranging from the youthful impressionistic landscapes of the 1910-ies to the latest abstract canvases of the 1980s years.
Earlier it was reported that the exhibition of Salvador Dali will have a contest for the best costume in the style of the artist. Chairman of the Board “the Link of times” Vladimir Voronchenko said that the opening ceremony will be attended by special jury, which will choose the winner.
