First Deputy Chairman of the Committee on education and science of the state Duma Gennady Onishchenko commented on the test for the diagnosis of coronavirus COVID-19, which was developed by scientists of the Central research Institute of epidemiology of Rospotrebnadzor. It is reported IA “NSN”.
Onishchenko expressed the view that the developed test will give more accurate data.
“After all, when false positive (result), his three need to recheck. Well, speed is also very important,” he said.
As we learned earlier, the diagnostic kit has successfully passed clinical trials. It was explained that the new test is capable of one study not only to identify the coronavirus, but to distinguish it from similar viruses such as MERS-Cov.
Rospotrebnadzor said that this development can be considered as another effective tool in the fight against the pandemic coronavirus. The new test would allow for mass screening of people for early detection of cases. Also, experts will be able to identify infections with the disease are asymptomatic.
