Noah Cyrus used to be inspired by Christian music. Miley Cyrus’ younger sister liked to listen to her grandfather’s music as a young girl when he was still a member of a gospel group in Kentucky.
Even today, she still likes to be inspired by music with strong melodies. “My grandfather was in a gospel choir and gospel music was just a big part of my life,” she told NPR.

That’s why she loves singing in a room with several people, because: “I have the feeling that it brings the sound of a gospel choir with it,” the 20-year-old admits. A singer who is particularly good at handling melodies is Billie Eilish, enthuses Noah.

“I am particularly drawn to songs with which I either harmonize well or in which I can find melodies where there are actually none. I love doing that. I think some artists leave it up to their listeners to sing along or not. That’s why I love listening to Billie [Eilish] and her songs ‘When The Party’s Over’ and ‘Everything I Wanted’. Her melodies – she’ll do it. “(Bang)
