Expectant mom wrote memoirs
The twin sisters Nikki and Brie Bella (36, “Total Divas”) have published a common autobiography, “Incomparable”. In it, the former WWE wrestlers describe painful things from their past. Brie told US magazine People : “We chose to be survivors and to become the heroines of our own story.” That included the shocking fact that Nikki was raped twice as a teenager.
Accordingly, both incidents occurred during school time. As a 15-year-old she was abused by a classmate “whom I thought was a friend” in high school, and a year later she drugged and committed a college student. In “Incomparable” she writes: “If something like this happens to you, you understand the mentality of blaming the victim. It’s so easy to feel shame instead of anger, to think you could have stopped it all. ”
Nikki Bella hopes that sharing her painful experience will help others who are in similar situations: “When this happened to me, I was immediately ashamed and blamed myself.” She hopes that young women can take courage, not blaming yourself. In the meantime, she has overcome the trauma.
