the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko at the meeting with U.S. Secretary of state Mike Pompeo joked about the Belarusian dictatorship. About it reports RIA Novosti news Agency.
“we Have a dictatorship is different because everybody is off on Saturday and Sunday, and the President works,” – explained Lukashenko.
According to the Belarusian leader, he praised the decision of Pompeo, to arrive in Minsk in person.
“Very well, that you are after a different sort of misunderstandings in the relations between Belarus and the United States, are absolutely groundless misunderstandings of the past authorities, dare to come to Minsk and see this country – that is for the people, what people, what kind of dictatorship, what democracy is there – a lot of it, little and so forth,” – said Lukashenko.
Relations between Belarus and Western countries was improved through the efforts of Minsk to resolve the conflict in Eastern Ukraine.
Earlier it was reported that Belarus is looking for alternative sources of Russian oil supplies. In particular, the representatives of Belarus are in talks with suppliers from USA, Saudi Arabia and the UAE. According to Lukashenko, these options are more expensive, but the quality of the oil better.
