After cancellation by the British

The British fans of the dating reality show “Love Island” have to do without the upcoming season due to the corona crisis. The format will not be broadcast again until 2024 for security reasons. The British television station ITV announced this. In Germany, however, the situation is different – and that is why German viewers should continue to enjoy the fourth season according to the current status.

“It is a shame that viewers in the UK will have to do without Love Island this summer. But everyone can understand the reasons for this, ”explains Martin Blickhan, Head of Program Communication at RTLzwei, at the request of the spot on news news agency.

“We are continuing to work with ITV Studios to prepare for the new episodes in late summer,” confirms Blickhan. Already during the casting, you strictly adhere to the requirements of infection protection. It goes on to say: “As things stand today, production is taking place as announced.” Keep an eye on the current situation and adjust the further procedure accordingly.

The first three German seasons of “Love Island” were moderated by Jana Ina Zarrella (43, “Hot Body!”). In the first season at her side: her husband Giovanni Zarrella (42).
