Early life

Liam Hemsworth was born on January 13, 1990 in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, as the youngest brother of Luke (born 1981) and Chris (born 1983) Hemsworth. The brothers grew up in rather poor conditions in the Australian outback. The family moved to the small island of Philip Island in the state of Victoria in 1998. Liam’s mother was a high school teacher and the father worked on cattle ranches to support the family’s livelihood. Liam himself once worked in a bakery, a bowling hall and a penguin exhibition. He is also a keen surfer and has had several shark encounters.

Due to the acting success of his two brothers, Liam also thought about an acting career while still at school. After hiring an agent, he got his first smaller roles in the Australian series ‘Home and Away’, ‘Mc Leods Daughters’ and ‘Neighbors’ in 2007. Career

After Liam Hemsworth appeared in ‘Neighbors’ in at least 25 episodes, from 2008 to 2009 he initially played the role of guitar player Marcus in the Australian youth series ‘Elephant Princess’. Finally, he made his film debut alongside Nicolas Cage in the film ‘Knowing – The Future Ends Now’. In 2009 he finally moved to the United States, where he met Miley Cyrus while filming the bestseller ‘With you at my side’ by Nicholas Sparks. Here he was just the emergency cast for the role of Will Blakelee, but he was able to gain some important experience. Later he was temporarily mated with Miley Cyrus and even married before the couple announced their final separation in August.
