Heroes 21/03/20 Khanpasha Nuradilov: the best of the great Patriotic Chechen
during the great Patriotic war in the Soviet army shoulder to shoulder fought the representatives of different nationalities – Russians, Ukrainians, Tatars, Kazakhs… was among the Soviet soldiers and the Chechens. One of them, Khanpasha Nuradilov was posthumously awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union. Of his exploits are remembered today, 70 years later.
In the footsteps of Chapaev
Khanpasha Nuradilov born July 6, 1924, in the Dagestani village of mynai-Togay (now the village Kamiah novolakskogo area). He was the youngest of three brothers in the family. Brothers Nuradilova lost his parents early. Khanpasha graduated from elementary school, and middle brother went into the army, placed him at his workplace – Maslenica on an oil well. To do this, the certificate of age of the teenager was credited with two extra years.
In October 1940 Nuradilova was drafted into the Red Army. He so wanted to serve that in the application for military credit for another two years. Therefore, according to the documents, it turned out that he was born in 1920.
In the army Khanpasha immediately asked for the cavalry since I raved about the movie “Chapaev”. It took riding on the cart in the 34th regiment of cavalry.
On the front Nuradilov was in the early days of the great Patriotic war. Soon received its first award – the medal “For courage” under fire, carrying wounded from one river Bank to another. Then he was appointed commander of machine-gun in the 17th guards cavalry regiment, 5th guards cavalry division.

it was a German offensive. In December 1941 the division Nuradilova received orders to hold the line in Zakharivka village near Donetsk. On 6 December the Germans launched a massive artillery bombardment of red army positions on the offensive then moved the infantry… All the friends Khanpashi was killed in battle, and he himself was wounded. The young man acceptedl the decision to continue the fight and opened fire on the enemy. He managed to stop the offensive. Wounding 120 fascists and taking 7 prisoners, Nuradilov is back in operation. His commanders were amazed at how wounded soldiers alone managed to cope with a machine gun.
the Second feat Nuradilov was made in January 1942, during the Soviet counterattack. His unit is located near the village of Tolstoy. The conditions were harsh, with frost and high snowdrifts. The enemy stubbornly holding the line. Khanpasha went ahead of the infantry and fired on the German trenches with a machine gun. Alone, he slew fifty of the Nazis and four machine-gun crew. For this, the command subsequently introduced the young fighter to the order of the red Star and promoted to Sergeant.
In February, the division was transferred under the Kursk. During the battle in the small village of Shchigry Nuradilov was wounded in the arm, and his gun is out of order. However, he and this time managed to put 200 of the Nazis. Two months later, gunner destroyed another 300 Nazis near the village of Bairak and received another order of the red banner.
Of Khanpasha Nuradilova began to compose legends about it wrote all Newspapers, his name resounded on all fronts… But learned about it and the German high command. Say, the head of the indomitable gunner was promised the reward of a few tens of thousands of Reichsmarks.
the Last battle
In September of ‘ 42 Nuradilov commanded the machine-gun platoon in Stalingrad. On 12 September in the battle of the suburbs Serafimovich, Chepeleva on the mound (a famous 220,0 height on the left Bank of the don river), he received a serious wound. Despite this, managed to destroy 250 of Nazi soldiers and two machine guns. However, this fight was for the Sergeant last. Khanpasha Nuradilov died from wounds on the way to the field hospital and was buried in the square in the centre of stanitsa Bukanovskaya of the Kumylzhenskiy district the Volgograd region.
21 Oct 1942 in the front newspaper “Red Army” published an article about Nuradilova. It said:
“the Gallant knight of our Fatherland. Immortal hero of the Caucasus, the son of the sun, the eagle of the eagles, fighter Khanpasha Nuradilov who killed nine hundred and twenty enemies.”
April 17, 1943 decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR Nuradilovo was posthumously awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union. He was also posthumously awarded the Order of Lenin.
In 1944 he released a postage stamp with the image of Nuradilova. After the war was named after him, several streets in different localities, he dedicated the poems and plays. In 1986, at the Studio “Azerbaijanfilm” was released the film “seventeen boyish years”, telling about the heroism of Nuradilova.
In April 2008 in his native village Kamiah was inaugurated a monument to the hero. On Mamayev Kurgan in Volgograd, a memorial plaque Khanpashi Nuradilova. Also his name is the Chechen state theatre.
