it is Known that specialist Bernard Gonzalez was 60 years old. Before committing suicide he was at home in isolation.
Specifies that together with Gonzalez in quarantine was his wife, also infected COVID-19.
“I think sadly about his parents, wife and family. He became collateral damage COVID-19, due to the fact, since the test gave a positive result, and he was on a 14-day quarantine,” – said the mayor of Reims, Arnaud Robinet.
According to the mayor, he knew Gonzalez. He is also aware of the letter written by the doctor before he killed himself.
“I know that he left a note which explained his actions, but I do not know its content”, – said the mayor.
As reported by one of the players of the club “Reims”, the doctor never talked about his infection with coronavirus.
the Press service of the football team at the official Twitter page said goodbye to the doctor. The cause of death was not specified.
Earlier, the Director of the research Institute of emergency care named Sklifosovsky Sergey Petrik reported on the status of the chief doctor of the hospital in Kommunarka Denis Protsenko. According to him, the disease is not severe.
