Deputies of the state Duma adopted a law allowing all regions of Russia to introduce a tax regime for the self-employed. This mode will apply from 1 July 2024, according to “Express Gazeta”.
currently, it is known that this mode operates in 21 regions of the country. It is held as an experiment for entrepreneurs. As explained by the initiators of the law project showed the effectiveness and feasibility.
as a result, the mechanism of “Tax on professional income” used by more than 550 thousand citizens.
In test mode the self-employment earned in Russia in January 2019. Initially, the tax on professional income was introduced in Moscow and the Moscow region. In addition, the system was tested in the Kaluga region and Tatarstan Republic. At the beginning of 2024, the project was joined by another 19 Russian regions.
Earlier it was reported that teenagers may be allowed to become self-employed.
