After the death of Kobe and Gianna
According to “People” magazine, Vanessa Bryant (38) now knows the helicopter company’s assessment of the tragic helicopter crash in which her husband Kobe (1978-2020) and daughter Gianna (2006-2020) died. After the widow previously filed a negligent homicide lawsuit against the company that owned the helicopter, those responsible have now responded to the allegations.
The company Island Express Helicopters, who also provided the pilot in charge of the flight, argues that both Kobe and Gianna were “aware of all the circumstances and particular dangers”. The passengers were aware of “all risks of flying a helicopter on January 26”. According to the lawyers, both the basketball star and his daughter “voluntarily assumed the risks of an accident, injury and damage”.
Vanessa Bryant, on the other hand, claims that the company is partly responsible for the death of her loved ones. The pilot, Ara Zobayan, who also died in the accident, was responsible for the crash because he had not stopped the flight despite bad weather. He could not have operated the helicopter properly and safely, which led to the disaster. Zobayan had already been warned in advance by the air traffic control authority about similar security violations. The company also had to blame itself for this, since it either knew about these complaints or should have known about them.
