Kraftwerk co-founder Florian Schneider died
The co-founder of the German electro cult band Kraftwerk, Florian Schneider, died at the age of 73. This was announced on Wednesday by the PR agency Falcon Publicity, which represents Kraftwerk in the USA. Schneider had succumbed to a short cancer, referring to musician colleague Ralf Hütter.
Kraftwerk was founded in Düsseldorf in 1970 by Hütter and Schneider. The band is one of the pioneers of electronic music and has long had cult status worldwide. The spectacular concerts are usually sold out quickly.
