Problematic or not?

The British singer Adele (32, “Hello”) amazes the world. The hit guarantor is said to have lost around 45 kilos in no time. The news agency spot on news asked an expert what consequences such drastic weight loss can have, among other things. Silke Kayadelen (51), also known from “The Biggest Loser”, is a personal trainer, fitness and nutrition coach, has a YouTube channel on training and healthy living and has already published several books on the topic – including, for example, “The bikini Boot Camp: The Intensive Weight Loss Program ”(Riva Verlag).

Silke Kayadelen: Losing 45 kg in a relatively short period of time is not always problematic for a healthy person. As long as she maintains weight and does not gain much weight again, the benefits of weight loss outweigh the benefits.

Kayadelen: There are no direct dangers in healthy people. It is only important that such a rapid decrease did not result in a disturbed relationship with eating and possibly a so-called eating disorder, or a disturbed relationship with eating.

Kayadelen: This varies from person to person and depends, among other things, on the duration of the overweight and the connective tissue.

Kayadelen: With excess skin it may be necessary to correct it surgically.

Kayadelen: The most striking change is of course your body awareness. Adele is a young woman, mother, successful business woman and was an attractive woman before she was accepted. Weight loss has totally changed her as a guy. Completely new style, she looks very sexy and of course now dresses accordingly striking. After physical changes, such as resilience, the external change is of course the biggest change.

Kayadelen: Such a weight loss naturally arises from a strong reduction in calorie intake. It is only successful or permanent if this is done through a lifestyle change. Healthy, low-calorie diet combined with physical exercise. It is important to make this a daily routine and to live permanently. Therefore, this change must also be suitable for everyone personally and ensure a long-term perspective. Losing weight is one thing. The supreme discipline is holding.

Kayadelen: The “Sirtfood” diet is just another so-called celebrity diet, which is supposed to be based on the stimulation of certain endogenous enzymes, the sirtuins, for example by secondary plant substances. The sirtuins stimulated in this way should then help, for example, with muscle building and fat loss, according to the advertising statements. This then results in the various nutritional components of a corresponding diet.

Kayadelen: There are no peculiarities with the “Sirtfood” diet. A change in lifestyle (exercise and nutrition) is still the basis of any weight loss.

Kayadelen: I do not recommend the “Sirtfood” diet.

Kayaking: Pilates is a very useful addition to the range of sports available during weight loss and not just there. I myself am a trained Pilates trainer and love it. However, Pilates is not suitable for weight loss due to its relatively low energy consumption. I would recommend HIIT (high-intensity interval training), bodyweight, tabata, etc.
