Early life

Trump was born in the borough of Queens in New York City in June 1946. He is the fourth of 5 children. His father Fred C. Trump was a real estate entrepreneur, his mother Mary Anne MacLeod was a fisherman’s daughter of Scottish descent. As the son of a respected real estate entrepreneur, Trump grew up feeling superior to peers. His dominant strengthened him in this belief and sharpened him that he should act like a “killer”.

Donald Trump was also known for his penchant for gambling. Trump acquired the license for 3 casinos in Atlantic City. In 1984 the Trump Plaza Hotel & Casino was completed with 39 floors, it was the tallest building in the city. Trump acquired another building from the Hilton Corporation, christened it the Trump Castle Hotel and Casino, and took over the management of his wife Ivana. Trump also acquired the Taj Mahal in 1987. Ultimately, the casinos were a losing deal for Donald Trump. For the first time, Trump was unable to meet its liabilities in 1990, with $ 3.2 billion in debt. Despite his debts, Donald Trump managed to maintain the image of a successful businessman.

In 1995 Trump founded a public company and went public. In 2002, Trump was hired by Mark Burnett as an entertainer for the reality show The Apprentice.
