Meditation for stress relief

Filmmaker David Lynch (74, “Mulholland Drive”) is setting a good example: the honorary Oscar winner’s foundation is launching an initiative dedicated to those at the forefront of hospitals during the corona crisis. As part of the “Heal the Healers Now” project, the technique of transcendental meditation is to be brought closer to hospital staff so that they can deal with the great stress of the past few weeks. The campaign is supported by many other stars. Lynch himself asked for the support of the project on Instagram. Those who participate can win a virtual coffee gossip with the Hollywood legend.

Bob Roth (69), director of the David Lynch Foundation, is responsible for “Heal the Healers Now”. He has been teaching transcendental meditation for over 40 years and is allowed to include celebrities such as Russell Brand (44), Tom Hanks (63), Hugh Jackman (51), Katy Perry (35), Martin Scorsese (77) or Oprah Winfrey (66) counting. The deep relaxation achieved with the technology is intended to help physicians better withstand their high stress levels and prevent anxiety.

In the past, numerous other stars had supported the David Lynch Foundation, including Paul McCartney (77), Ringo Starr (79), Laura Dern (53), Lena Dunham (33), Amy Schumer (38) or Naomi Watts (51) .
