The current corona numbers of the Robert Koch Institute are there and show that the R-value is currently increasing inexorably! But – how does that affect the other numbers like new infections and death rate?
The current RKI Corona figures show yesterday, May 31st. an R value of 1.04 – on Tuesday of the last week it was still 0.68! So a really drastic increase. The 7-day R value also rose to 0.9. Bavaria is still a pioneer in corona infections per 100,000 inhabitants: Here there are 367 corona infections per 100,000 people (as of May 31). But how are the other key figures developing?
Despite the rising R value, the infection numbers remain moderate, yesterday 286 new infections were added, 300 people were registered as recovered. According to the RKI, the number of people who have been infected with the coronavirus since the pandemic in Germany is 181,196. In return, an estimated 165,200 people have recovered. 11 new deaths were added yesterday, the total number of corona victims is now 8,500.
