Clueso’s real name is Thomas Hübner and is a German musician, songwriter and author. The personable Erfurt was not always so successful because he describes his youth as difficult. In recent years he has made a name for himself mainly with German songs, he mostly writes his songs himself. In this article we take a closer look at his career and reveal some details about Clueso.
Early life
Thomas Hübner grew up in Ichtershausen near Thuringia, according to his own statements, it was very difficult during his school days. For this reason, he finished his school education with a secondary school certificate and then began an apprenticeship as a hairdresser, which he did not complete.
Clueso started music at the age of 15 and was initially part of various projects, such as the Wostock MCs.
Together they had many appearances and toured different cities in Germany, during which time Clueso refined his skills as a rapper and singer.
After he broke off his hairdressing apprenticeship, he met his current manager Andreas Welskop. The first releases on vinyl were released, but they were not released for sale and were only used for promotion.
A year later in 1999 he moved to Cologne with his manager and was offered a contract with the “Four Music” label. He also accepted this contract and from then on produced his songs in the 10vor10 studios.
The first album entitled “Text und Ton” was released on this label and was released in 2001. From now on, Clueso played with his band and sometimes with a DJ set, various concerts at various festivals. Over the years, he has played over 100 live concerts in German-speaking countries.
Career
He started his professional career at the age of 18 and then recorded his first album. At the age of 22, he moved back to his home in Erfurt and recorded a tape as the frontman of the Rowdy Club. The following year he started producing his second album entitled “Good Music”. Well-known artists from the German rap scene took part in this album, including Blumentopf, Marcel Aue and the blues guitarist Jürgen Kerth.
Compared to his first album, the second album contained significantly fewer rap songs. In addition to hip-hop topics, the consequences of cannabis use were also discussed.
Due to the move, it was no longer so easy for him to work with his original band, which is why he decided to bring musicians from Thuringia to his home.
His third album followed from 2006-2007, during which time Clueso played as a supporting act at concerts by Herbert Grönemeyer.
This year he was honored by 1live with a nomination in the “Best Live Act” category.
In September of the same year his single “Lala” was released, which was recorded as a soundtrack for the film “Leroy”.
In the following years two more albums appeared, including a live album. For his fifth album, he worked with stars such as Udo Lindenberg and Wolfgang Niedecken.

Amazing facts
Some facts from his private life are known about Clueso, so one knows about him that he likes to call himself a chaotic man. But sometimes it comes over him and then he sweeps through at home and makes himself comfortable. Basically, however, he likes it when it “looks alive” at home and sometimes clothes just lie around like that.
He likes to write his songs spontaneously, when he gets an idea, he simply takes what he has at hand (laptop, note and pen), depending on the situation.
When Clueso is not on tour, he likes to treat himself to a sauna, because there he can really relax while sweating.
In his free time he likes to let the pig out, so that it doesn’t get noticed, he goes to parties where nobody knows him!
