About mother Adolf Hitler Clara Pelzl historians mentioned infrequently. But Alexander Kling in his book “10 myths about Hitler” gives interesting information about mother of the Reichsfuhrer.

Childhood and family life

the mother of the dictator was born in 1860. The family of Clara had 10 children, but the majority survived not all. The girl’s parents were peasants, so at the age of 15, she began working at his uncle Alois Hitler (Schicklgruber).

Alois Hitler married a wealthy woman who later fell ill and died. The second wife of Alois died too, whereupon he drew attention to the native niece Clara.

In his book, Alexander Kling calls the relationship of Alois and Klara incest. Hitler pleaded with the Episcopal Ordinariat to give permission about marriage, but his requests went unanswered.

the Historian Erich Saake claims that Clara Pelzl concealed the fact of relationship with the uncle. She told Church members that no information about the real father of Hitler. At first the lovers were rejected, but then from Rome came a marriage license.

In 1885, Alois was the husband of Clara. After the official marriage, the mother of Adolf Hitler called his wife’s uncle. Before the wedding the wife of Alois became pregnant, and in 1885 they had a son Gustav. Later, Clara gave birth to a girl and a boy, but the kids died. Adolf was the fourth child.

Erich Fromm, and other researchers wrote that Clara was the perfect mother and wife. She raised their children and children of Alois from the first and second marriages. Psychologist Alice Miller was against the idealization of the mother of Hitler. Alice believed that Clara is wrong to raise children of their own. In relation to itself and to the children Pelzl forgive her husband humiliation and constant beatings.

Psychologists, historians do not deny the affection of Adolf to his mother. In the book “Female Fuhrer” of the author Olga Greig wrote that his mother’s death was for Hitler a great tragedy. Klara died from cancer at the age of 47 years. Hitler was close to his mother until the last days of her life.
