For the people of our country the Great Patriotic war began June 22 at four in the morning, when the Nazis attacked the USSR. However, in Europe the war came two years earlier on 1 September 1939. On this day after the operation "Canned goods", conducted under the personal direction of Heinrich Muller, Germany declared war on Poland.

Joseph Stalin died, when Vladimir Vysotsky was barely 15 years old. Future artist then wrote a poem dedicated to the death of the leader, called "My vow." Vysotsky later revised his views, in relation to the "father of Nations".

About the identity of the German soldier Alfred Liskov little is known. Only a narrow circle of historians and people who are interested in history, knows that this man warned the Red army of the coming invasion of Hitler.
