He died on Tuesday night in his Maspalomas apartment in Gran Canaria – just three days before his 79th birthday. It was probably heart failure. Böhm is now to be autopsied to determine the exact cause of death.
His wife Susanne Böhm (50) confirmed BILD the death of her husband on Wednesday: “Werner fell asleep peacefully in Gran Canaria. I am very sad. ”Böhm moved from Hamburg to the Canary Island at the beginning of the year. In Germany he was in debt.
