Numerous US stars took part in the “Disney Family Singalong” and smashed songs from the various cartoon classics from their living rooms. Above all, Ariana Grande (26) knew how to convince with her version of “I Won’t Say I’m In Love” from “Hercules”. In an elaborate compilation of several recordings of herself, she gave herself the background choir and delighted the viewers of the ABC broadcaster.
Beyoncé as a surprise guest
Christina Aguilera (39) also participated in the one-hour event, which benefits the charity Feeding America. In the presence of her dog, she delivered a soulful version of Sir Elton Johns (73) “Can You Feel The Love Tonight” from “The Lion King”. Josh Gad (39) and Luke Evans (41) made an entertaining appearance. In their virtual duet, the two slipped into their vocal roles LeFou and Gaston from the real film version of “The Beauty and the Beast”.
At the end of the event there was a duet by Michael Bublé (44) and Demi Lovato (27). The two singing “A Dream Is A Wish Your Heart Makes” from the classic “Cinderella” as background music, in which people thanked the doctors, hospital staff and everyone else at the forefront in the fight against the corona virus.
There were previously unannounced surprise appearances by superstar Beyoncé (38) and Zac Efron (32). Queen B sang “When You Wish Upon A Star” from Disney’s “Pinocchio”, Efron meanwhile celebrated a “High School Musical” reunion with Vanessa Hudgens (31), Ashley Tisdale (34) and Co. and sang the hit “We ‘ re All In This Together “. Other appearances included country star Thomas Rhett (30), singer Derek Hough (34) or actress Amber Riley (34).
