Alarm on Whit Monday: Around 11.33 a.m. witnesses reported a glider crash in the allotment area Johannisau. According to the police, the 66-year-old pilot died in the burning plastic wreck. According to "Osthessen News", the machine crashed into a piece of meadow next to the allotment huts. It is the third plane crash in Germany this week! The pilot of the machine did not survive the crash!

The pilot was apparently already registered for landing, but crashed 800m in front of the airfield. The meadow lies between a well-visited allotment garden and a busy cycle path. The head of operations at the Fulda fire brigade, Thomas Helmer, on "Osthessen News": "There are a number of people in their allotments just a few meters away.
