Employees of management of Federal service for veterinary and phytosanitary surveillance for Moscow, Moscow and Tula oblasts detected flower thrips in roses. It is known that plants were brought from the Netherlands. This informs the Agency “Moscow”, citing the press service of the Ministry.
“During the inspection of cut flowers of rose origin Netherlands was contaminated with quarantine for Russia object – Western (Californian) flower thrips,” – said the press service.
it is Noted that the infected plants were destroyed. This decision was made in accordance with the phytosanitary legislation of Russia.
“the Presence of a quarantine facility in a viable condition confirmed by laboratory examination”, – said the Agency.
Previously, the Rosselkhoznadzor found flower thrips in chrysanthemums from the Netherlands. It was argued that revealed a quarantine object was confirmed by laboratory examination.
in addition, flower thrips were found in flowers from Colombia. In accordance with the current legislation, the plant was destroyed.
