Tickets from Russia abroad will rise from 5 February to 3% due to the recalculation of exchange rates, the International air transport Association (IATA). This was reported portal “Interfax-Tourism” by the Vice-President ATOR Dmitry Gorin.
“the Recalculation will be carried out in accordance with the rules of the International air transport Association (IATA). That is, will be based on the dollar and the Euro against the ruble for February 3, rounded to 50 kopeks in the big or smaller side,” he said.
According to the Central Bank on 3 February, 1 Euro is worth 70 rubles, 1 dollar 63 of the ruble. Gorin noted that IATA usually recalculates the exchange rate once a week on Tuesdays, and the new rate is valid from Wednesday.
According to Gorin, the next recalculation will be made on February 12 at the dollar and the Euro on 10 February.
Previously, the Federal Antimonopoly service (FAS) has stated that there is no justification for a significant increase in the cost of tickets in Russia in 2024. Deputy Minister Anatoly Golomolzin said that the prices for flights will grow within the inflation rate the same as it was in previous years.
