“If it will help to curb the spread of the virus, I would like to resign and bring so apologize,” said the mayor.
He added that the decision to close the city that is home to more than 10 million people, was made for the first time in the history of mankind. Such a measure was necessary, said Sangwan, however, this city has earned itself a bad historical reputation.
“We can’t predict how severe the current danger, therefore, was forced to close the city. We provide products, ready meals and medical services to those under quarantine at the place of residence”, – he stressed.
However, the mayor acknowledged that some drivers refused to deliver goods to hospitals for fear of Contracting a new disease.
an Outbreak of coronavirus began in Wuhan at the end of 2019. To date, infections have also been detected in South Korea, USA, Japan, Singapore, Thailand, France, Australia, Canada and Nepal.
In China at the moment, a new type of pneumonia infected more than 4.5 thousand people. More than 100 people were killed. The state Committee of China reported that 52 cases of a patient successfully treated and discharged from medical facilities.
