The rapid, coordinated action of a group of member states creates added value for all EU citizens in this crisis. Together with the Commission, we want to become even faster and more negotiating in the future, ”said Federal Health Minister Jens Spahn. The aim of the participating countries is to start mass production as soon as possible after the development of a vaccine against the coronavirus. “In order for vaccines to be available in large numbers very quickly following a possible approval this year or next, production capacities must already be secured by contract,” Spahn confirmed.
