As Foreign Minister Maas now revealed – many travel warnings are to be lifted tomorrow. Free travel within many European countries would then be possible again! We are preparing a decision for the cabinet tomorrow, which is currently still being voted on within the government, ”said Maas in Berlin on Tuesday. The aim is to replace the travel warning currently applicable worldwide for the countries of the European Union and associated countries with travel advice.
Through better differentiated information about individual countries, the citizens should be better informed and able to make decisions. This helps citizens to decide where to plan their vacation and in which regions they should not do so. Statements about travel outside Europe would be made later.
