It was supposed to be the start of a more normal time – and it ended with a new outbreak of corona! When visiting a restaurant in the district of Leer in Lower Saxony, seven people apparently became infected with the coronavirus. "The infections are probably related to a visit to a restaurant," said the district on Friday. The health department points out that this is not an isolated case with few contacts!
These new cases have resulted in “precautionary domestic quarantine” already being ordered for at least 50 people. Further test results are still pending. NDR 1 Lower Saxony had reported on the cases. According to the broadcaster, these would be the first known cases of this kind since the restaurant reopened.
