The lawyers of Lori Loughlin (55, “Full House”) and her husband Mossimo Giannulli (56) appear to be trying everything to end the case against the actress and the designer in the bribery scandal at US universities. Loughlins lawyers had requested that the lawsuit be stopped because the linchpin of the scandal, William Singer, was allegedly ordered to falsify the truth by the authorities in talks with the accused. The judge has now found that “the government has not lied or misled the court”. The evidence shows that investigators involved only tried to “get Singer to substantiate and not falsify evidence.”
According to the current situation, Giannulli and Loughlin – together with six other parents – must continue to stand trial in October. The two are said to have paid up to $ 500,000 to convert their two daughters to a US university. Loughlin and Giannulli face up to 50 years in prison, according to US media reports. Huffman was sentenced to two weeks in prison, one year suspended, a $ 30,000 fine, and 250 hours of community service. The short prison sentence began in October 2019.
