The Jewish Museum Berlin (JMB) since its opening in 2001, the most successful museums in Germany. Nevertheless, it is, as one researcher says, “a house full of unhappy people”. Because the Museum is in a sense and leadership crisis. As the JMB opened 17 years ago, it seemed that the zig-zag line of the Libeskindbaus to draw a line under years of non-observance of Jewish life in Germany. The permanent exhibition celebrating “2000 years of German-Jewish history”, as would be the hyphen, of course. Even then, however, the journalist Thomas Lackmann criticized the JMB as a “Jewrassic Park”. It celebrate the dead Jews, but I have to do with the Jews living little. Certainly not a “Jewish” Museum.
