Early life

Cora Schumacher was born under the name Brinkmann in 1976 as the daughter of the gas station lessor Gerd Brinkmann and his wife Ingrid, in Langenfeld near Düsseldorf. After graduating from school, Cora trained as a communications specialist. In addition, she occasionally worked as a model and posed for revealing shots. In 2000 Cora moved to the German capital Berlin for a few months and worked there in sales for the jeans manufacturer Diesel.

Career

In 2001 she met her future husband, the motorsport professional Ralf Schumacher, with whom she was married until 2014. The two first married under the strictest secrecy in Ralf’s villa near Salzburg, before shortly afterwards they carried out the wedding in church and in public. Their son David, who is now also active in racing, was born in the year of the wedding ceremony. A year after the birth of their son, Cora appeared on the front page of the October 2003 issue of the men’s magazine GQ. The blonde’s racing career began in 2004 with participation in the “Mini Challenge Germany”. There she finished 18th and 23rd in the first two races. In 2004, Cora was only 27th in the overall ranking of the event. The Seat racing series started in front of around 100,000 people. After a few years of abstinence in the racing scene, Cora was again active in the cockpit and drove again for the Mini Challenge. After her comeback, she was able to directly occupy 19th place at the end of the season and in the following year even achieved her best performance with 14th place in the overall ranking. Her enthusiasm for motorsport was also reflected in some acting performances. In 2006 she took on the role of speaker in the Disney animated film “Cars” and was also seen in smaller guest roles, among other things as a racing driver in the soap “Marienhof” and in the action series “Alarm for Cobra 11”. In 2015 Cora was featured on the cover of the German edition of “Playboys”. Three years later, the former racing driver took part in the TV show “Celebrity Big Brother”, which brought her additional media attention. There she took 7th place.

Amazing facts

The first ceremonial wedding event between Cora and her current ex-husband Ralf took place in a very private setting, in their own premises. This frame was so private that not even Ralf’s brother Michael knew about the wedding ceremony.

The actor Ralf Bauer met the young Cora in a bistro in Düsseldorf Airport many years ago. He wanted to buy her coffee and tried to make a flirt. Cora did not go into that at the time, however, since she had only recently married. A few years later, after the divorce, the two met again on the TV show “Lets Dance”, where advances were made again.
