Early life

Cristiano Ronaldo dos Santos Aveiro was born on the Portuguese island of Madeira. Together with three siblings, he grew up in poor conditions. At a young age of only three, Ronaldo was enthusiastic about football and started this sport. As an eight-year-old, he played in the amateur club CF Andorinha.
