Short introduction
Thomas Müller is an offensive soccer player who has been with Bayern Munich since 2000, first in his youth, then with the professionals. There he had moved from his youth club TSV Pähl so early because of his great talent. In 2014 he became world champion with the German national soccer team, and he won the German championship and DFB trophies several times.
Early life
Born in Pähl in 1989, he was an altar boy with the local community in his youth. Thomas Müller attended high school in Weilheim, where he graduated from high school in 2008. He got married in 2009 before he made his big breakthrough in professional football. Already in the D-youth, in 2000, he changed from his home club to Bayern Munich. There he was always kept and transferred to the next higher age group. In 2007, he became the A-Youth of FC Bayern Munich Southwest champion and second in the German championship.
Since the single-track 3rd division was newly founded in 2008, Thomas Müller completed his first season with the seniors in this division. With FC Bayern Munich II he was used 35 times between 2007 and 2009, scoring 16 goals. But Jürgen Klinsmann already took him into the Bundesliga squad of FC Bayern Munich for the 2008/09 season. On his debut in the Bundesliga, he was substituted for Miroslav Klose on August 15, 2008, but also continued to play in the 3rd division.

Career
Under Louis van Gaal, he immediately belonged to the extended circle of the professional team and also came to work again and again. After his first goals in the Bundesliga in September 2009 at Borussia Dortmund, he became a regular under van Gaal, which has only changed in short, individual phases, most recently under coach Niko Kovac, who is already back at Bayern.
In the following years he came to 112 goals in 335 league games at the end of 2019. In his first season as a professional player, he had won the German championship and the DFB Cup in 2010, the coveted “double”, followed by many more should. In 2010, however, due to his enormous coldness, national coach Jogi Löw had taken Thomas Müller to the World Cup in South Africa. Here he was the third German with five goals and three assists after Gerd Müller and Miroslav Klose top scorer of the World Cup.
In 2013, his team at FC Bayern got together so far that the longed-for win of the Champions League was finally achieved. In addition, Thomas Müller won the national double again with his club, making the “triple” overall, a unique event in the history of FC Bayern Munich.

Career highlights

Amazing facts
Until the 2019/20 season, FC Bayern Munich had never lost a Bundesliga game when Thomas Müller scored a goal in this match. That only changed 11 years after his debut in the Bundesliga.
His wife Lisa Müller is a professional dressage rider and won her first international exam in Stuttgart in 2019.
