Probably, in that moment, when Hassan Baiev gave the Hippocratic oath, he could not even imagine, whose lives he will have to save. Meanwhile, it was he who rescued these known terrorists like Shamil Basayev, Salman Raduyev and Arbi Barayev. However, this does not mean that Bayev stood on their side: according to the doctor, the medicine must always be apolitical. Moreover, with the same zeal he helped and civilians, and the Federal military. Only after that to live in the homeland he could not.
the Surgeon who gave up a career
Hassan Baiev could make a brilliant career. At least, his achievements have nothing but admiration, not cause. To 18 years of Baiev was already a black belt holder in judo. In 1992, Hassan Baiev came for training to Moscow. A couple of years it was already considered a world-class expert: patients came to him even from abroad. At the time, plastic surgeries, and especially those who did were very rare. Then Bayevo didn’t complain: he had money, apartment, car. He saved the life of all simply because stuck to this once the Hippocratic oath.

He lectures in universities, and the American medical community has awarded him the award “Doctor of the world.” In addition, Baiev and returned to professional sports: he became the champion of America in Sambo and MMA. However, even after health status and social situation Baiev has improved, he still couldn’t become a real American. Hassan Gundulica always pulled home. And soon he had the opportunity to visit the house. Now it is several times a year he comes to Chechnya, has his countrymen free medical care.
